Over my 50 years in the Insurance Industry I have held several senior management roles, most recently overseeing the Professional Liability Division at The CG&B Group which has become Gallagher.
This included budgeting revenue and expense, staff and staff performance along with participating on the Executive Committee. I currently oversee the Broker E&O programs for Gallagher sponsored by IBAO and IBAN and written with Swiss Re. The programs consistently grow in both premium and policy count while maintaining excellent Loss Ratios.
Adapting to changes in the industry with the proper coverage and education involves me deeply in the operation of a Brokerage in 2023. This provides a unique opportunity to commit to participation in the industry as a whole and to the Broker channel in particular.
A continued presence at functions and events as both an attendee and a speaker supports this.

Somewhat uniquely I am hoping to be a returning council member after having served a six year term. Along with developing and improving leadership and operation skills both in business and on council my time on council has given me an inside look at the Self Regulation of Professionals.
Combining my long history in Broker Errors & Omissions with participation in developing RIBO's latest Strategic Plan puts me in an excellent position to assist in directing the future of Broker Self Regulation in Ontario.
Recognizing the future will bring drastic change I believe we need to have regulation with consideration.

Originally from St. John's NL and now residing in Toronto On via a stint in Winnipeg MB. I joined the Insurance Industry in 1974 with Crum & Forster Insurance. I spent 30 years underwriting and producing most lines of insurance with increasingly senior positions at several large Property Casualty companies. I spent 10 years as a Reinsurance Underwriter and Broker and finally began to specialize in Professional Liability in the late 1980's.
I joined the Brokerage side of the business in 2005 with The CG&B Group (now Gallagher) and now almost exclusively spend my time on Broker Errors & Omissions. Overseeing the Broker programs for Gallagher from both an underwriting and production standpoint I work with Brokers everyday.
I am a frequent speaker and seminar presenter on the subject of Broker Errors & Omissions exposures and issues.
I have always been heavily involved in the Industry through both educational and social events and supported many of the related Industry causes.
