I have demonstrated strong leadership skills over my 30 year career in the industry as the President and co-owner with my brother of Orr Insurance Brokers Inc. and as a Past President of IBAO. These roles require the ability to lead an organization and clearly communicate direction and strategy. We have 6 locations and 70 staff which requires an ongoing commitment to the operations of the organization. As President of IBAO I travelled across the Province and the Country speaking about industry issues to fellow brokers, other Provincial Associations and various levels of Government. During my six year tenure on the CSIO Board, I was heavily engaged in the development and launch of e-Doc to the industry, saving millions of dollars in costs and improving broker workflows.

As a 4th generation family brokerage, I have spent my career dealing with both personal and commercial insurance, and working with our executive team to manage the brokerage. I have served three years on RIBO Council, the last two years as Chair of Administration and Finance during a time of significant modernization of the organization and investment in systems and staff. As the inaugural chair of the RIBO Technology committee, we provided feedback to update systems for online exams and license renewals.

Our Brokerage and my family has been in Stratford for over 125 years. I believe in giving back to the community as well as my industry. I have sat on and chaired many local boards and charities and I have served my industry in various leadership roles. I would welcome the opportunity to serve my final 3 year term on RIBO Council.
