Organization/Course Provider
- Must provide a certificate of attendance to each attendee.
- Must have regular evaluation of course content to monitor the quality of the material and ensure it meets current industry standards.
- Is responsible for verifying the qualifications of individual instructors and monitoring their continued effectiveness in the delivery of the material.
- Is responsible for having and maintaining attendance registers for RIBO verification. (We would recommend that you have individuals sign your attendance registers.)
- Cannot provide a certificate unless the individual attended the entire course/seminar.
- We accredit instructional time only. Breaks, Q&A, and group discussions are not eligible for RIBO hours.
Course/Seminar
- Must fall within the definitions of Management, Technical or Personal Skills categories as outlined in the Accreditation Agreement.
- Must have a classroom time of one hour or more to be eligible for accreditation (examinations not required).
- Must be presented by a qualified instructor, leader, or lecturer.
- Annual Meetings and Affiliate Meetings in general do not qualify for accreditation unless there is an educational component.
Self-Study/Online Programs
- Must fall within the definitions of Management, Technical or Personal Skills categories as outlined in the Accreditation Agreement.
- Must be at least one hour or more in length, excluding time required for tests or assignments, to be eligible for accreditation.
- Must have an assignment/workbook component assessed by the provider prior to receiving a completion certificate.
Please note: A certificate will not be issued by the seminar/course provider unless the individual attended the entire course/seminar.
