Notice is hereby given that the Special Meeting of Members of the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (“the Corporation”) will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 1:00 pm EST.
The meeting will be a virtual meeting, conducted via Microsoft Teams. The purpose of this meeting is to seek the membership’s approval of new corporate by-laws that ensure RIBO:
- complies with the Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010, S.O. 2010, c. 15 (“ONCA”), in advance of the October 19, 2024 deadline, and
- establishes a modernized set of governance practices.
Attendance and Voting at the Virtual Meeting
Members will be able to listen to the meeting live and vote online as required while the meeting is being held and submit questions for consideration.
Registration
Please register in advance to attend the online meeting. This registration process will assist RIBO in determining the number of participants at the meeting and assist in the administration of the virtual meeting.
Once you register, you will receive a confirmation with a link to the meeting.
Voting by Proxy
If you are unable to attend and would like to assign a proxy for another person to vote on your behalf, you must complete the proxy assignment form on or before April 8 at 12:00 pm EST.
Proxies to be used at the Tuesday April 9, 2024 Special Members’ Meeting must be received in electronic format through the Corporation’s electronic platform.
