RE: RIBO Update-Licensing Exams
We recognize the challenges faced by many brokerages brought on by the suspension of licensing exams. That said, in-person exams are not a viable option so long as the province maintains restrictions aimed at managing health risk through the pandemic. While we are now experiencing a slow and systematic ‘reopening’ of Ontario, most of these restrictions remain in effect.
One important development we want to share is that we will soon be able to deliver certain RIBO exams in an online format. We have contracted with the Insurance Institute of Canada to administer online exams on their examinations platform, using a virtual proctoring service.
In these unsettled times, we are excited to provide Ontario brokers with an online exam option. We will communicate additional details, including timing, technical requirements and pricing, as soon as they are finalized. We continue to plan for the reintroduction of in-person exams and will advise you as soon as they are available.
Position Reports- Deadline Extensions
- Form 1 Position Reports that were due April 30, 2020 have been extended to May 31, 2020.
- Form 1 Position Reports due May 31, 2020 have been extended to June 30, 2020.
- Form 1 Position Reports due June 30, 2020 have been extended to July 31, 2020.
